Challenges of Motherhood

Motherhood Challenges by Mary E Latela, September 11, 2015

The hardest part about being a mother is the way God set it up.

At the beginning, that little one is deep inside you, needs you for everything – for life, for nurturing, for warmth. At birth comes the first separation, but she still needs… needs… needs… you. They she learns to walk, run, play, go to school.

Every wondrous step is a separation – not a brokenness but a rich, deep part of the growing up process. And you – and I remain a mother always … but in different ways, from a distance, as an advisor? as a listener? as a last resort? So run, walk, be your separate self and you will teach your children about interdependence…. you would do anything for them, but you have to take care of yourself in order to stay on the job.

Comment on this if it touches your heart. Thanks. @LatelaMary

  1. @LatelaMary says:

Sometimes being a mother is tough; other times, really joyful. Then there are the ordinary days when life moves on and I think about my children, wonderful what they are doing today. Does this hapen to you. @LatelaMary
