Ms. Mattioli, whose fiction is wonderfully filled with insignts, humor, and discoveries in ordinary people, reaches out in a conversational tone to those who write and write and write. She tells the reader what works for her, and she invites us to try to focus and write freely, saving all the micro-editing for after the work is formed. Superior resource which every writer and everyone looking for a stocking stuffer for a writer, ought to acquire.
